The colorful history of the Old West comes to life in Eldorado Canyon, home to the famed Techatticup mine. On the short journey to this rustic site, you’ll enjoy spectacular scenery: fields of teddy bear cholla, rare geologic formations, and an excellent photo opportunity down near the banks of Lake Mojave, the blue jewel of this isolated desert terrain.

On your professionally guided tour of the mine you’ll envision the back-breaking work done by prospectors over a century ago as they chased gold veins deep into this rugged mountainside, and hear tales of yesteryear’s gunfights and lawlessness that were the rule in this frontier territory.

Vehicle Type: Suburban seats up to 7 passengers, and the Custom Stretch Jeep seats up to 5 passengers. (Vehicle type is determined by tour company)
