Our Hoover Dam Hummer and Raft adventure begins with complimentary motorcoach pickup at your Las Vegas at approximately 7:45 AM. We’ll head out for an approximate one-hour drive to Boulder City, the little city that was created by the workers and their families during the Hoover Dam construction. Gaze in awe at Hoover Dam, one of the man-made wonders of the world! We’ll stop at the river rafting depot in Boulder City and make a short drive down to the raft launch point at the base of Hoover Dam.

Our 11-mile guided float trip is an approximate 4.5-hour relaxing water tour of the Colorado River and provides gorgeous scenery to admire. You are likely to encounter Big Horn Sheep grazing along the shoreline, ancient Indian petroglyphs (rock art carved into stone) along the canyon walls and bubbling natural hot springs.

The tour will stop along a beach for your complimentary deli-style picnic lunch and bottled water. Your friendly and informative guide will further explain the history of the area. Hear about how the river was navigated by early explorers who arrived in search of gold and other treasures. There are plenty of photo opportunities along this tour so be sure to bring your camera.

After lunch you will return to the rafting depot in Boulder City where the adventure continues! Climb aboard our deluxe Hummer, a deep desert exploration vehicle. Our Hummer takes you to places that no other vehicle dare explore. Take the ride of your life as the Hummer powers through the rugged Frenchmen Mountains arriving at the major fault line Lizard Eye Ridge. We’ll make several 5-minute stops for photos.

The area draws students of geology from around the world to read in the rocks a story of colossal earth movements through deep time. Stories of long ago when the North American land mass moved west, causing the Nevada landscape to fracture into blocks and push into each other. The result of this movement can be seen today in the northern portion of Nevada in what scientists call the basin and range system. Observe more of these geologic transformations continuing at Frenchman's Mountain, an isolated block moving west and being thrust upward by other blocks pushing under it. After about 2 hours of off-road wild adventure, we head back into Las Vegas. We’ll provide complimentary drop-off back at your hotel where you can relax and prepare for an evening out in Las Vegas!
